WellSpan Apple Hill
Project: Rehabilitation Hospital
Location: York, PA
This facility is designed primarily for inpatient care but it will also contain administrative space for outpatient services. This 150,000 square foot hospital will feature fully accessible private rooms, isolation rooms, bariatric patient rooms, restrooms and patient showers. The rehabilitation services provided in this building will include recreational and vocational rehab, physical and occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, psychology and neuropsychology, dietary counseling and sports therapy.

Project: Medical Education Hall

This new two-story addition located directly in front of York Hospital's main entrance includes a 200-seat lecture hall with sloping floor, large group classrooms, smaller classrooms, entry courtyard, related sitework, administrative offices and simulation rooms for training staff.

Orthopaedic & Spine Specialists
Project: Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital
Location: York, PA
This new three-story, 68,375 square foot orthopaedic specialty hospital will be constructed five feet from the existing operational orthopaedic practice. The new building will match the appearance of the adjacent existing building and this project includes extensive sitework, including all new utilities and underground stormwater retention systems.

Frederick Memorial Hospital
Project: Cath And Sleep Lab Renovations
Location: Frederick, MD
The Frederick Memorial Hospital patient care program required space for two new labs – a Cath Lab and a Sleep Lab. Kinsley Construction was chosen for the phased renovation of these spaces. Both the Labs required off-hour work and great attention to dust, noise and vibrations because the worksite was directly above functioning operating rooms. The new labs exceeded the capacity of the existing floor, requiring structural reinforcement of the floor/ceiling directly above the current operating rooms. |

Holy Spirit Mediplex - Fit Out
Project: Imaging and Rehabilitation Center Fit Out
Location: Camp Hill, PA
This first floor fit out encompasses the entire building footprint and provides imaging and rehabilitation services. Included in the imaging areas are specific rooms for mammography, ultrasound, radiology, fluoroscopy, CT scan and bone densitometry, as well as space to support a future MRI area. Other interesting features include a blood donor center and a waiting room focused on patient comfort with a kids play area and water feature. |

Upper Chesapeake Health System
Project: Parking Garage and Office Space
Location: Bel Air, MD
Kinsley performed preconstruction and construction manager-at-risk services for this four-level, 175,00 SF, 450-space parking garage with the lowest parking level underground. This project also included 84,000 square feet of medical office space located on two floors above the garage. |

Johns Hopkins Hospital
Project: Simulation Renovation
Location: Baltimore, MD
This state-of-the-art training facility for medical students and medical staff includes six exam/simuation rooms, two ICU/procedure rooms, a multipurpose operating room, classrooms and a control center. This facility required its own data center, which is housed on the same floor as the Simulation Center. |

Kinsley renovated existing patient rooms to make room for a newly designed layout that would accommodate a medical staff suite. In addition to the main project, a separate modular catheter lab project was completed. |

Project: Medical Office Building

Accolades: ABC Award of Excellence
Kinsley designed and built this 78,625 square foot specialized medical office building that includes surgery areas, medical examination offices and a first-floor optical retail center. The building contains a sophisticated lighting protection system and a 60 KVA high-end emergency power generator.

Apple Hill Surgery Center
Project: Surgery Center Addition/Renovation
Location: York, PA
Kinsley renovated and built an addition to the Surgical Center at Apple Hill. The addition included a generator, elevator, loading dock, four operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms and a 40-bay recovery area. Renovations involved an endoscopy room, clean room, sterile storage area, a procedure room, a pre-op area with 30 booths, soiled linen utility room and six operating rooms.

Johns Hopkins Bayview Anesthesiology
Project: Surgery Center Addition/Renovation
Location: Baltimore, MD
This two-phase project included the renovation and expansion of the existing anesthesiology offices into a fresh, new layout. Kinsley’s planning and field investigative efforts led to orderly operations and logistically effective project execution without any disruption to the adjacent patient care areas.

Gastroenterology Associates of York
Project: Outpatient Surgery and Gastroenterology Practice
Location: York, PA
This two-story building has a split-face block and brick veneer, bronze aluminum storefront windows and frames, metal soffits and fascia and a concrete curb and sidewalks with a guide rail. The roof is a rubber membrane standing seam roof system with skylights. Interior rooms include a communications room, patient lounge, file and storage rooms, exam rooms, a patient education room, linen supply closet and a conference room.

Frederick Memorial Hospital
Project: Operating Room Fit-Out
Location: Frederick, MD
This work involved a complete tenant fit-out of new operating room space adjacent to existing operating rooms. Because the site logistics of this project were challenging, Kinsley used scaffold stairs to create outside access to the OR space and coordinated our material deliveries with the hospital’s loading dock schedule.

KDV Sports Medicine Center
Project: Spine and Sports Rehabilitation Center

Kinsley constructed this state-of-the-art Spine and Sports Rehabilitation Center to increase the overall capabilities of the clinic. The building contains offices, a whirlpool, staff areas, locker rooms, a steam room, consultation rooms, an indoor pool and a fitness and rehabilitation center.

Johns Hopkins Bayview Bariatric Surgery
Project: Administration Relocation
Location: Baltimore. MD
Kinsley’s main priority for the project was to upgrade the existing patient suites into administration offices. The new floor plan included a significant amount of casework and a redesigned layout to accommodate the office staff. The southwest end of the wing’s redesign included renovating the space for reception, education and conference areas. Office spaces also included new finishes.

Project: Alterations to the Radiology Department
Location: Frederick, MD
The demo and construction work for this project was completed with the hospital's radiology department remaining occupied and in constant use. An all new MEP system, interior finishes and the installation of new CAT Scan equipment were major elements included in this project.

Littlestown Dialysis
Project: New Dialysis Center
Location: Littlestown, PA
This building contains 12 dialysis stations, a patient waiting area and locker and toilet rooms. The structure has insulated glazing that is “gray tinted” with internal mullions and aluminum framing finish. Unique aspects include drain lines for dialysis processes and underground downspout piping. |

York Hospital Simulation Center
Project: Education and Simulation Center
Location: York, PA
The York Hospital Simulation Center involved converting a laundry holding area below the cafeteria into a healthcare simulation training facility. The new space included an operating room and training classroom utilizing equipment such as an automated mannequin to train students for various state-of-the-art surgical procedures.

Frederick Memorial Hospital
Project: Wound Care Area
Location: Frederick, MD
Kinsley was responsible for demolition of basement space and the fit-out work for wound care usage and hyperbaric treatment. The renovation area was adjacent to the facility’s ICRA office, so the project was regularly inspected for compliance. The space programming involved the creation of 10 exam rooms and corresponding support services and the hyperbaric area was prepped to receive hyperbaric treatment chambers.

Holy Spirit Mediplex - Shell
Project: Medical Office and Outpatient Services Building
Location: Camp Hill, PA
This new four-story, 80,000 square foot mediplex is situated on the side of a steep slope. Kinsley utilized four 10-foot by 30-foot retaining walls on the site to create parking as well as a 30-foot concrete retaining wall in the building to provide on-grade entrances to the first and third floors of the building. |

Project: Weinberg Chemo Infusion Suite
Location: Baltimore, MD
The Kinsley team spearheaded efforts to consolidate this project which included reconfiguration of walls, casework, finishes, HVAC, medical gases, power, lighting, data, nurse call and pneumatic tube systems.

Northwest Hospital
Project: Wing 3a Renovation
Location: Randallstown, MD
This project's renovations involved containing and isolating the 8,000-square foot area and performing select demolition and replacement of all mechanical, plumbing, voice and data systems, medical gasses and finishes. Infection control requirements were continuously monitored and maintained. Additional scope included adding HVAC recirculation lines to facilitate future renovations on the floor.

University Of Maryland Medical Center
Project: Four Wings in the Gudelsky Building
Location: Baltimore, MD
The renovations on this project included replacement of HVAC control systems, medical gas upgrades, nurse call replacement, dialysis system installation and replacement of selected finishes. Infection Control Barriers were constructed to isolate each wing while undergoing renovations.

Johns Hopkins Bayview Oncology Suite
Project: New Oncology Treatment Center
Location: Baltimore, MD
Kinsley was responsible for the demolition of an existing space and the construction of a new oncology (cancer) treatment center with an adjoining break room. During construction, ductwork was brought from the roof down through four floors of occupied area to the space through a mechanical area which had no access at intermediate floor levels. |

Eyes of York
Project: New Medical Facility
Location: York, PA
Accolades: Award of Merit
Kinsley was responsible for the construction of a new medical building for Eyes of York, a medical practice specializing in medical and surgical eye care. The building contains reception areas, exam rooms, operating rooms and pre- and post-operation areas. The brick structure has aluminum window frames, soffit blocking, a metal roof and decorative columns at the entranceway. |
